Gifts

There have been a lot of birthdays in my neck of the woods lately, which means that I get to make some fun things that I might now otherwise attempt. This includes a little pinafore for my brand new niece Ameila (she cries a lot). The yellowish fabric was dyed with dandelions from my backyard...

...and a pair of potholders made for my lovely mother-in-law Susie. This pattern was taken from an ancient pair made by great-aunt Onie.

White Squirrel v. Black Squirrel

We try to lure all of the urban nature we can into our backyard, and yesterday there was an albino squirrel fighting with a black squirrel.

I posted this foxy new blouse in my shop today. I'm going to try to get a bunch more ready-to-wear garments in the shop.

And finally, here is a taste of some of the new custom items I've been busy making for my wonderful customers.

Some favorites

Here are some much overdue photos of some favorite custom garments that I've made recently.

Also, keep a look out for some brand new ready-to-wear spring items, including new jackets, blouses, and dresses.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Ok, so Thanksgiving doesn't happen for 1.5 more days, but I'm already at my Thanksgiving destination (country), so I'm celebrating already. Celebrating Thanksgiving is also a good excuse for procrastinating on my 10 page paper.

I've been really lucking out when it comes to fabric hunting lately. Lots of grays and blacks and wools (which people seem to have been asking for lately). I'm thinking about keeping a photographic inventory of all of my fabrics posted on my blog.... Will have to get to know the scanner a little better I guess. I had to do some reorganizing this week to make room for the new arrivals. Katherine has been helping by sitting on all of the fabric before it goes up into its cubby.

Made the front page today!

So just happened to see the Watcher Jacket, featured on the front page of etsy! It was under "seasonal fashion." Here is what it looked like.
